Dreaming of Dressage...

This is Riverwood Equestrian's gorgeous Fjord gelding Impossible Dream being trained in dressage by head rider, Amy Border.

Today was the day of dressage training. Finally, after weeks Amy had the opportunity to properly train her beloved gelding. Constance had had her training the stable's stallion to jump - which meant that Aoife had been the one keeping Dreamer in work. Not today though. Today was Beau's day off. That meant only one thing for Amy - she was finally able to hop on to her beloved gelding!
She arrived at Dreamer's stall early in the morning to give him a special groom before she saddled him up in his lovely new dressage saddle. When she was finally mounted, Amy couldn't help smiling. It had been too long! Dreamer seemed happy to have his owner back on his back too, for he was very enthusiastic in his paces. Amy couldn't help laughing at her gelding's attempts to impress her!
Georgia came walking in to the arena just in time to see Amy push Dreamer into a beautiful extended trot - the best one they had ever achieved!
Amy couldn't have hoped for a better ride on her horse and she promised herself and Dreamer that she would never leave so long inbetween riding him again!

this took about 7 hours? I found this half finished in my files and couldn't help finish it!
I'm not too pleased with the rider - I have a lot to improve on in that aspect - but I love the shading on the horse! I think I'm finally getting into a style that suits me and that doesn't take yeeaaars!
